BurtyB is an unknown quantity at this point
Hmmm I searched for "setup ftp server on debian" the first link has loads of screen shots and then towards the bottom has a section on an ftp server. I personaly dont use debian but I generaly find google has most answers available "when you want them" rather than waiting for someone to tell you.

Pure FTPD is very good. There is a package for it in Debian.

http://www.pureftpd.org

apt-get install pure-ftpd

Cheers, Dan

Can I suggest that you may be in the wrong business; renting Linux based game server if you can not setup ftp with out help. How are you going to possibly support it when one of your customers screws their ftp up big time? Using hotmail for a business e-mail address also come across highly unprofessional.

This is not to be mean, but I see loads of small game host startup and when something goes wrong they are well and truly screwed as they don’t know how to solve even the common problems..

It just ends up being bad for the industry as a whole.. Prehaps do some more reaserch, rent a dedicated server lean what everything does, then give it ago.

As somone else said, Google is your friend!

You might want to read "The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000" as any website in the UK selling products should have the address shown on the website.

I wouldn't have thought so - as you can't 'hide' behind a Royal Mail PO box.
