Using Cacti Monitoring App

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any interventions with Cacti (http://www.cacti.net/)

Any views, thoughts you would like to share?

Just been looking into it, and the install process alone is a nightmare - looks like would take a few hours to trial and error to get right..

Does look nice though

Hi,

We use it.

Took <20 mins to install and <5 mins to setup

Its handy but im told its not 100% accurate *shrug*.

We use it / like it, and it can be used to graph a huge range of data, which is nice

We use it and are happy with it on the whole - we provide individual logins to our customers to see their own graphs, which does the job nicely (until such a time when we have developed our own bespoke portal).

There are 2 standard graphs we tend to use - bits in/out with total transferred as well as the 95%tile graphs.
