Yep - our mirror grabbed it earlier. Not too many changes in it, mostly just the memleak which most people probably haven't noticed anyway.

No updates to php-5.0.4 yet (which is what we are running at the moment on the mirror server) though not really had any problems with it so i'm not complaining

Sorry to bump this but just as a warning to anyway upgrading: PHP 4.4.0 breaks the Zend Optimizer and a few other things so install with caution!

That's not very encouraging.. I thought 4.3.x to 4.4.x was only supposed to be a minor maintenance branch upgrade.

So did I when it first came out. I upgraded one of my servers and it broke quite a few things, particuarly the Zend Optimizer.
I tried again on a spare box a few weeks ago and I don't think these issues have been fixed yet, at least not with Zend even though I installed a fresh copy of the latest version.

We upgraded to PHP 4.4.0 and had to download a new version of Zend. If you search the web there's details of the version you need to get and when we did it, it was quite easy to get hold of.

I have eSupport (with Zend Optimizer) on 4.4.0 with no problems, I would imagine its a configuration error or related to the version of the optimizer you are trying to use.

Indeed. A new version of Zend was released to be compatible with 4.4.
Feel free to get it from my mirror...

If you run PHP 4.4.0 you need Zend Optimizer 2.5.10.
If you're running eAccelerator too, then at present it will break if installed as a Zend Extension, although it appears to be fine when installed standalon. That's from a friend, not from myself - so please correct if I'm wrong

While true that Zend Optimizer exists for PHP 4.4, question is: how many scripts will it manage to break that are 4.3 compatible. I've heard from many that it's entirely backwards compliant?
